Vahna Shirvanian’s cartoons appear in Look, The Saturday Evening Post, True, McCall’s, Argosy and a number of other magazines; and in 1961 he received an award as the magazine gag cartoonist from the National Cartoonists Society. Mr. Shirvanian lives in northern New Jersey with his wife, two small children and a cat.

Brimstone by Vahan Shirvanian (1925 - 2013). Vahan Shirvanian was an American magazine gag cartoonist, who contributed to Fling Magazine, Playboy, The New Yorker, Reader's Digest, Harvard Business Review, Good Housekeeping, and many other publications. Between 1979 and 1982 he created the relatively obscure and largely pantomime newspaper comic strip 'No Comment' for King Features Syndicate. This collection of Brimstone comics featured the cat character who first appeared in that strip. A total of four book collections of 'No Comment' and 'Brimstone' strips were published between 1981 and 1988.
