New York Press was an alternative weekly free newspaper published in New York City. This issue is from March 30, 1990. It is their annual Comics issue and features contributions by Ben Katchor, Mark Beyer, and Joe Coleman (all also known for their work in RAW magazine). New York Press published weekly strips by many alternative cartoonists of the 1980s/1990s including Doug Allen’s Steven, Amy and Jordan by Mark Beyer and Underworld by Kaz. This issue also has Mark Marek’s Two-Fisted Management and Charles Burns’ Big Baby. A few illustrations by J.D. King as well. A couple of other comics spread throughout (sorry for any exclusions).
